Helium Density Measurement
ATC- Automatic Temperature Control
The PYCNOMATIC allows the measurement of true density of solids, pastes or liquids. An integrated microprocessor controls the complete measurement and calibration procedure. An internal temperature regulator compensates outside influences from room temperature.

Determination of the Density of Powders and Porous Solids

  • The PYCNOMATIC is a fully automated instrument for the determination of the volume and density of powders, granulates, porous materials, mixtures, pastes and liquids.
  • The PYCNOMATIC replaces the classical method of liquid displacement utilising a probing gas. Helium can reach even the smallest pores (10-10 m). Thus the density of powders and porous materials can be determined exactly. With binary mixtures density measurements can also give the composition. The measurement and calibration is fully automated. The internal thermostatisation allows room temperature independent measurements. The analytical process including preparation cycles, outgassing timings, soft degassing options etc. is fully programmable.
  • An integrated microprocessor controls the complete analytical cycle. An optional Windows™-Software programme offers the control and reporting of analytical procedures
